Less than 12 hours after watching The Villages High School football team dismantle Leesburg in the first-ever meeting between the two neighbors, I ventured out to where it all begins.
Last Saturday morning - and into the better part of the early afternoon - was spent at The H.G. Morse Range, where the Buffalo Stampeders football program hosted Mount Dora in youthful gridiron action.
And there was “action” in every sense of the word.
Not just on the field, where four teams - 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U - battled it out while learning the ins-and-outs, but more on that in a minute.
