Details for William R. Goldenbaum

Mr. William R. Goldenbaum, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the age of 75.

Bill was the son of Carl and Irene Goldenbaum born on June 30, 1943 and spent his childhood in Queens Village, NY, along with his younger sister Lynn. He attended Andrew Jackson High School in Cambria Heights. In 1964, he married Judith (nee Rice) and together they moved further east on Long Island to Commack, NY, where they raised two daughters. Bill provided for his family as a small business owner working as a licensed electrician servicing both commercial and residential customers in the Queens and NYC area. He was active in the Five Boro Electrical Contractors Association. Bill and Judy were active members first at Grace Lutheran Church in Queens Village, NY, and then St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Smithtown, NY, where they formed many friendships that remain to this day. Bill and Judy retired and relocated to The Villages in 2011 and quickly made friends joining many clubs and Hope Lutheran Church. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his daughter, Lisa Eisenhart and her husband Greg; his daughter, Jeanne Bender and her partner John Anderson; and his two grandchildren, Justin and Morgan Eisenhart. Bill is also survived by his sister, Lynn Mark, her husband Bob, and his niece Kimberly and her husband Wayne Sirota. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Irene, and his cousin Lorraine Thiele.

A private cremation took place on Tuesday, May 21. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Bill's life to be held at Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages, FL on Wednesday, June 12, at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, donations to support Canine Companions for Independence or Make a Wish would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the wonderful neighbors and friends that have been so supportive over the last few months.
