Details for Samuel J. Crosby, Jr.

Samuel J. Crosby, Jr., 88, of Oxford, FL and formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away Sunday July 7, 2019 at Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care in The Villages, FL.

Born October 4, 1930, in Allentown, PA he was a son of the late Samuel J. and Genevee Mae (Stoll) Crosby. Samuel served in the U.S Air Force, during the Korean War, before receiving his Honorable Discharge.

A graduate of William Penn High School, he attended the University of Maryland and was later employed by Baltimore Gas & Electric, for many years, prior to his retirement. Active in Masonic organizations, Samuel was a member of the Grand Lodge of Maryland A.F. & A.M., and was Past Worshipful Master of Composite Lodge #212. He was also a member of Boumi Shrine, the Royal Order of Jesters and the Scottish Rite.

Samuel is survived by his sister, Nancy Lee Schnepfe, of Oxford, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by both of his wives, Nellie and Vera, and a brother, Richard and sister, Jane.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, in Fruitland, FL, at a later date. Interment was in Shoop's Cemetery, Harrisburg, PA.
