Details for Donna Marie LaHaye

Donna Marie LaHaye, 83, Green Bay, WI passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, January 9, 2020. She was born on May 28, 1936, in Stevens Point, WI to Gustave and Cecelia (Justesen) Olson.

Donna graduated from Green Bay West High School, Class of 1954. She attended Milwaukee School of Nursing and received her RN diploma in 1957. She later continued her education at UWGB graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Donna worked at Bellin Hospital and finished her career with Unity Hospice. After retiring, she continued to volunteer at Unity Hospice. She valued and continued her friendships she made at nursing school and through Bellin.

Donna married her high school sweetheart, John "Jack" LaHaye on August 9, 1957. Together, they celebrated 62 years and had four children. Donna supported her husband for 20 years as an officer's wife, throughout his time in the military. They enjoyed traveling and being up north; and even more, being with their grandchildren.

Donna had a strong Lutheran faith. She was a very active member of Calvary Lutheran Church (WI) and Hope Lutheran Church (FL). Donna and Jack spent winters in The Villages, FL where they loved to golf and spend time with friends. While in Florida, she volunteered in a health clinic for immigrants.

She enjoyed playing cards, reading, doing crosswords and puzzles, going on walks, and spending time with family. Donna thoroughly enjoyed her family time - she was willing, giving, and kind.

Survivors include her husband, John "Jack" LaHaye; son, Mike (Anita) LaHaye and their daughters, Mikayla and Katelynn LaHaye; daughter, Brenda (Mark) Haven, and their son, Will Haven; daughter, Cindi (Bob) Majewski and their sons, Brad and Andrew Majewski; and son Mark LaHaye; her sister, Karen Leanna; brothers, (twins) Rodney (Debbie) Olson and Roger (Fay) Olson, Carl Olson, and Jerry (Carol) Olson; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Marie Olson; and a brother-in-law, Dale Leanna and nephew, Steve Leanna.

Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18; followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rufus Kudee officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
