Details for Betty Heninger
Betty Heninger, age 95, of East Dundee former resident of Itasca and "The Villages" Florida passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Betty was born on April 9, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York and was one of four children born to the late Edward & Dorothy (nee Rosenthal) Horgan. She was a resident of East Dundee for the past 5 years. Prior to relocating to Dundee she lived in Florida and Itasca, IL. Betty attended Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Fairway Christian Church in Florida and the Itasca Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include her 4 children; Cathy (Michael) Mozdren, Linda (Rick) Browne, Mark (Nora) Heninger and Dorie (Marc) Hughes. Other survivors include her 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, her sister; Patricia Horgan, her sister-in-law; Evelyn Horgan as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband in 2003 Thomas L. Heninger and her 2 brothers; Walter and Gerald Horgan and a sister-in-law: Lorell Horgan.
At Betty request, she will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church 310 E. Main St in East Dundee on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Phillip Baerwolf officiating. In lieu of flowers. Memorials in Betty's name may be made to either Lamb's Farm 14245 W. Rockland Road, Libertyville, IL 60048 or Gitche Gumee Bible Camp 5189 Garden City Road, Eagle River, MI 49950
