“2-1-0-0.” The number rang out in stereo from four different Toys for Tots volunteers, all passing the numerical message along like a telegraphic conveyor belt. A fifth volunteer, Bob Alosi, quietly repeated the number to himself as he began to search through an organized library of black bags filled with toys.

A smile melted across his face as he located the bag labeled “2100.” He passed it to another volunteer who gave the bag to a very grateful family. “For me, it feels good to be helping and giving back,” said Alosi, of the Village of Duval. “You’re giving to a family that wouldn’t otherwise have gifts for Christmas. It feels good to know I can help.”
