Craft fans who show up for the 10th Annual Lake Sumter Art & Craft Festival during its normal weekend will find that they’ve arrived about a month too late.
The festival has moved from its normal time slot in February to Jan. 5 and 6 this year at Lake Sumter Landing Market Square. This year will be bigger than ever with more than 200 artisans exhibiting their works compared to 170 from last year.
Elizabeth Dashiell, publicist for American Craft Endeavors, or ACE, which puts on the festival, said that, of the hundreds of shows her company puts on every year, this one is not only one of the biggest, but also one of the most popular, for festival-goers and artisans.
