Houses of worship, businesses are helping Dorian victims

When the first images came out of the Bahamas of the damage Hurricane Dorian caused to the island nation, Wendy Gallegos got upset.

“There is so much devastation,” the associate pastor of Open Door Community Church said. “I’ve been to the Bahamas many times, and it’s heartbreaking to see what’s happening there.”

For Gallegos and her family, the Bahamas are more than just a place on the map.
