The Lady Lake Garden Club is known for its many contributions to the community. Whether it is providing snacks for students at Villages Elementary of Lady Lake or making small floral arrangements for hospice patients, members of the club leave an impact everywhere they go. “That’s a big part of what we are,” said Lady Lake resident Shellie Leon, the club’s president. “I think it’s important that the club is a part of the community, and giving back to the community is a great way to do that. We’re contributing in a lot of different ways.” For more than 10 years, the club has left its mark during the holidays at the Lady Lake Public Library, 225 W. Guava St. Every year, club members decorate a Christmas tree in the main lobby of the library for locals to enjoy.
