Enjoy Carole King, James Taylor hits all in one show

Carole King tribute artist Deb De Lucca and James Taylor tribute artist Sam Hyman combine talents for “Troubadours,” a recreation of the iconic tour of King and Taylor. The show will be performed at 5 and 8 p.m. Friday at Savannah Center.

Deb De Lucca and Sam Hyman both grew up listening to Carole King’s “Tapestry” and James Taylor’s “Sweet Baby James.” As they got older and pursued music, both gravitated toward the music of King and Taylor. De Lucca now has her own Carole King tribute show, “Home Again,” and Hyman has a James Taylor tribute show, “Sweet Baby James.”

Sometimes, De Lucca and Hyman join forces for “Troubadours,” a show in which they recreate the iconic tour of Taylor and King.

“They have a long history of collaborating,” De Lucca said. “They’ve been on each other’s albums and toured together.”

“And they were friends,” Hyman added. “They’ve been friends and colleagues for years, so it was just a natural fit.”
