update Jan. 2. - At about 10 p.m. Monday night, Sumter County deputies were sent to Beef ‘O’ Brady’s on Colony Boulevard after two people in black with handguns tried to sneak through the kitchen, according to information released Wednesday. A staff member spotted them, and the staff left the building. After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the bar, the suspects left the same way they came. The sheriff’s office used reverse 911 calls to alert the community, and posted on social media shortly after midnight urging residents to keep all doors and windows locked, as well call authorities if the suspects were spotted. The SCSO asks that anyone who has any information about the case (#6415) to contact 352-793-2621 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS(8477).
