PUBLIC HEARING

The Sumter County Planning Zoning Special Master will hold a public hearing on January 10, 2022, at 7:00 P.M., at the Everglades Recreation Center, 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, FL 32163, to consider applications as follows:

Legal Description:

THE SOUTH ½ OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED LANDS:

BEGIN AT THE SE CORNER OF THE SW ¼ OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 18 SOUTH, RANGE 22 EAST, AND RUN WEST 660 FEET FOR THE POB, RUN WEST 471 FEET, RUN NORTH 2640 FEET, RUN EAST 471 FEET, RUN SOUTH 2640 FEET TO THE POB, LESS THE SOUTH 50 FEET THEREOF FOR COUNTY ROAD NO. 210, SUMTER COUNTY, FLORIDA.

Requested Action:

Rezone 14.16 acres MOL from A10C (Agricultural) to RR5C (Rural Residential).

The recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Special Master will be presented to the Board of Sumter County Commissioners at a Public Hearing to be held on January 25, 2022, at 7:00 P.M., at the Everglades Recreation Center, 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, Florida 32163.

The proposed application may be inspected by the public at the Development Services Department, 7375 Powell Rd., Suite 115, Wildwood, FL, between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. weekdays. All interested citizens are welcome to attend and be heard with respect to the proposed application. Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should contact the Sumter County Administration Office at (352) 689-4400, 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting.

Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 286, Florida Statutes, Section 286.0105, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by an above named Board with respect to any matter considered during any meeting of such Board, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and that, for such purposes, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record may include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

Only those persons receiving mailed notice in accordance with the requirements of Section 13-315 of the Sumter County Land Development Code shall be qualified as “affected parties” for the purpose of examining witnesses during the noted hearings.
